ABOUT LAUBY LURES

A family connection.
A shared history.

Two original Lauby Lures boxes with printed branding and product names

Keeping the pieces together.

This site grew from a great-grandson’s interest in Anton Lauby and a collection of Lauby lures and related material.

Its purpose is simple: make the collection easier to explore, preserve the family and business history, and give other collectors a useful place to compare what they have found.

The objects matter. So do the boxes, photographs, drawings, and small details that help explain them.

How we describe the collection

We distinguish what is visible in a photograph, what a contemporary source documents, and what is attributed through family or collector knowledge. An unfamiliar finish or undocumented model stays a question until the evidence supports an answer.

The present records describe photographs and documents. They do not certify authenticity, original components, or current market value.

Help improve the record

If you recognize an object, have an original catalog, or can correct a detail, we would like to hear from you. Specific photographs and sources are especially useful.

Editorial responsibility and corrections

Published by Lauby Lures, a family collection connected to Anton J. Lauby. Research text is prepared with AI assistance using the photographs and sources identified on each page. No independent expert review is claimed.

Corrections should identify the record, the statement in question and supporting evidence. A submitted claim is not automatically published. Substantive revisions receive an updated date; unknown details remain identified as unknown.
